Bob Mecklenburger has been singing
his folk music and performing with his acoustic 6- and 12-string
guitars for over 40 years. Skilled in a variety of flatpicking
and finger-picking guitar styles, he sings his own music and
that of numerous folk singers and singer-songwriters of the 60s,
70s and 80s, and up to today. Bob’s strong baritone voice has
been described as reminiscent of John Denver, Jim Croce, and
other distinctive singers of the folk genre. He performs
in local coffee cafes, farmer's markets, and bookstores,
and has been featured in house concerts in and around
Philadelphia and near his home in central New Jersey.
Along
with BCFSS membership, Bob is a member and past president of the
Princeton Folk Music Society, and is an active participant in
the Philadelphia Area Songwriters' Alliance.
