  Bucks County Folk Song Society
Welcome to BCFSS

Dedicated to furthering the interest and appreciation of folk music through education, research, and participation; familiarizing the people of southeastern Pennsylvania with authentic folk art; and providing a meeting place for those with a common interest in folk music.

Our September meeting will again be a Zoom circle with a theme of Kids' Songs. The time will be 7:00 on Sunday September 6th.  Details and links for connecting to this Zoom meeting are available on the BCFSS Members Website. Please check the linked videos and follow the recommended steps for optimal sound quality. It's VERY important that you do this, as a few of the past performances showed the effects of not adjusting these settings. In the default Zoom configuration, your voice and your instrument will compete for Zoom's attention, and one or the other will lose.

The Doylestown Arts Fest, Perkasie Fall Frst, BCFSS Fall Concert, and Quakertown Autumn Alive have all been canceled. The idea of a virtual concert has been suggested, but no action has been taken yet. Stay tuned.

9/6/20 - 7:00pm - Monthly Meeting (Note Time Change)
Virtual Circle: Kids' Songs

Our Members Website is now available at this location: http://members.bucksfolk.org/.  This is a private website requiring a userid and password.  All current members having email addresses should already have received their personal userid and password.  If you did not, please contact Wes at membersite@bucksfolk.org.  At the members website, you can review the members directory, listen to previous BCFSS concerts, review past issues of the Buckhorn, and view the official BCFSS constitution.  Many thanks to Wes Powers for developing this useful and interesting membership perk.
Our Folk Community News page proved too labor-intensive to keep up to date.  However, it still provides details on our anonymous mailing list.  Anything that would have made the Folk Community News page will be forwarded directly to your email box if you sign up.  News items relating to BCFSS are listed right here (you're reading one right now).
Contributions continue to be received for housing and maintaining the Tor Jonassen memorial record collection which has been donated to the Sing Out! organization in Bethlehem, PA.  To donate contact the BCFSS treasurer or Sing Out!.
