Jane Marlowe-Waldman and Toby Hill perform regularly with the quartet, “Rodeo Beatniks,” primarily in the Chester County area and are currently promoting their debut CD “No Prior Record” (from which they’ve received airplay on University of Penn’s WXPN). Jane & Toby recently formed the duo of “Marlowe Hill” as a side project to further explore and expand their songwriting and performing capabilities. Their music can be described as a fun alternative to “adult/alternative” music, rendering tunes that range in style from “tin pan alley,” to country-blues, to more edgy folk-rock numbers. Their original compositions are often inspired by contemporary adult relationships and invariably reflect themes which express adult sentiments, served on “wry” and garnished with a zesty enthusiasm.
